Who are we?
We are a small group of cigar aficionados from all walks of life, but most of us are now retired. We tend to be very active in volunteering and community service, as well as active in our busy lives. We enjoy the camaraderie, relaxation, and the “mini-vacation” that a good cigar provides. We have both deep-thought and whimsical discussions. The Legends Cigar Herf was established in May of 2024. We are not a sanctioned club (and like it that way).
Where do we meet?
We are located in The Villages, in Florida. Specifically, we presently meet at the
Holy Sh’mokes Cigar & Wine Lounge
at:
1521 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL, 32159
Even more specifically, we normally meet outside, under the nicely appointed and roof-covered structure there. During times when the weather is not accommodating we may meet inside instead, where a spacious and welcoming cigar smoking room exists.
Holy Sh’mokes is located on Buenos Aires Blvd just off of 441 but still in The Villages. While you cannot drive a golf cart down Buenos Aires Blvd itself, Holy Sh’mokes cigar lounge IS golf cart accessible via Bella Cruz Drive, by CROSSING Buenos Aires Blvd. If you can get to The Villages hospital by cart, then you can get to Holy Sh’mokes!
Previous to Holy Sh’mokes Cigar & Wine Lounge, our herf met at Palmer Legends Country Club. However, new management at Palmer Legends ended our tenure at that location

When do we meet?
This question is a little harder to answer. We meet every other Tuesday from 4PM to 6PM. The “every other Tuesday” however, cannot really be easily conveyed, so reference the calendar below to see when we meet. If you would like to try our herf, just use the email link below to let us know that you are interested in stopping by.
We would like to have your name, text number, and any short message you may want to leave (not required though). Emails are currently sent out prior to each meet-up. This gives us an idea of which area to use.
What should you bring to your first herf?
Normally, each herf member will have one cigar to smoke, and one or two to trade or give to others. You are encouraged to do the same, but for your first herf it is perfectly fine if you just buy one for yourself upon arrival.
It should be noted, that bringing your own cigars to our location TO SMOKE at Holy Sh’mokes Cigar & Wine Lounge is not generally acceptable (you wouldn’t bring your own drinks to a bar! ).
Larry and Natalie provide not just a location, but a very fine location for our herf, and it is NOT about the money (see their explanation here). They pay for rent, HVAC, lights, taxes, and etcetera. It is only fair to give back to THEM for what they provide to US!
Is there a membership?
Yes. Upon meeting with us we will learn more about you, and you will learn more about us. Though we are not really a traditional club with rules and regulations, we DO vet our members. After meeting with us we have an informal (typically email) vote on acceptance. You will receive notification within a couple days.
Is there any cost?
Apart from buying your own cigar(s), there is no other cost. You are encouraged to purchase drinks and light snacks from the Holy Sh’mokes bar.
Where can you purchase fine cigars?
Holy Sh’mokes is the best local cigar lounge where you can purchase fine cigars. We highly recommend this business and the wonderful staff there!
Can you smoke cigarettes with us?
Sorry, NO. Cigars are not inhaled, and unlike cigarettes present FAR less of a health risk. Many doctors agree, and cigars are not physically addictive to the extent that smoking cigarettes or vaping can be. We feel that cigarette smoking is not appropriate in the same environment where we have our herfs.
